Day 01 :

Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

You leave in the early hours of the morning from your hotel in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through a variety of Berber villages. The destination is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its fortified village and Kasbah. Fashion magazine photo shoots and Hollywood epics have made use of this spot as a backdrop. After exploring the village and its Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (guided walking tour - optional - ) or on your own, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then drive on to Boumalne Dades via Ouarzazate, which is also referred to as the Gateway to the Sahara. Take in the stunning drive to Dades, Qelaa Mgouna or Tinghir, which ends with dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 :

Dades valley – Todra valley – Merzouga

Go to the impressive Todgha Gorges after breakfast by departing from your hotel. devote some free time exploring the canyons and stopping by a neighborhood café for lunch. Head towards Merzouga where your camel caravan awaits you. Ride a camelback through the Erg Chebbi dunes and see how the dusk changes color as the sun sets. Make your way to your desert camp in time for a traditional Moroccan meal served in the camp. You will be entertained by nomads from the locales who will perform a Tam Tam drum performance. Savor dinner and spend the night.

Day 03 :

Merzouga to Marrakech

A driver will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech after an early wake-up to catch an optional sunrise. Midway through, stop for lunch in Ouarzazate before arriving to Marrakech.

Think about adding optional extras to your experience, such as going to the Deluxe Desert Camp, to make it even better. This upgrade comes with a five-star tent that is opulent and has an ensuite shower and bathroom facilities. Recall that each person should reserve one of these upgrades.

The 3-day desert tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an incredible value. Seeing the Sahara was unforgettable, and the camel ride felt like stepping back in time. We chose the deluxe camp option, which was much larger than the standard camp and included a private washroom, though everything else was similar. Our guide, Simo, was excellent—friendly, accommodating, and great at fostering a positive group dynamic. Be prepared for lots of driving, as most of the tour is spent on the bus. If you’d like a more relaxed pace, I’d recommend opting for a 4-day tour to spend extra time exploring around the Sahara. While the lunch stops and touristy spots were pricier, there was never any pressure to buy. Highly recommend this tour!

Could not recommend this experience enough! Abdul was our guide, and he was knowledgeable of the area, accommodating of our additional requests (pharmacy, stops for pics, beer pick up, etc). There was a fair amount of time driving BUT what a great way to see more of the Morocco "countryside", their way of life, all the small towns, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara!! The stops were thought out, providing breaks, bathroom, coffee and food and accommodations for our two nights were great (and one less. Thing for us to plan!) The highlight had to be the camel rides in the Sahara to our 2nd night accommodations at sunset and a ride back at sunrise (make sure you bring layers!). Simply perfect. Do yourself a favor and do this activity, you will not regret it!

Amazing tour with great guide Mohammad. We were also lucky with the group, had lots of laughs and fun. This 3-day trip is a really nice experience and chance to see many different places within a short period of time, from mountains to canyons, from ancient towns to Sarah's desert. Once in desert, the most entertaining part starts - camels riding, sand boarding, sunset, drums and dancing next to the bonfire, quads riding, sunrise. The guides are super nice, supportive and caring.

This was a great experience . Well planned out and very insightful . I honestly couldn’t plan this better myself . Samad was an amazing guide . He truly cared about our well being and making sure we had a good time. And most of all, making sure we was safe and mindful of our spending . He was well informed of the culture and history and I would recommend him above everyone else . The van was nice and comfortable and had WiFi!
